Birdseye Privacy Policy
Birdseye Security Inc. and its affiliated entities (“Birdseye” or “we” or “our”) recognizes that your privacy is important. Birdseye does not rent, sell, or trade your personal information and data to anyone. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we collect it, and how we use and share it in connection with Birdseye’s website (“Website”), software (“Software”), service offerings (“Services”), and cameras used to provide services to customers (“Authorized Cameras”) and mobile devices (collectively “Devices”). This Privacy Policy also describes Birdseye’s information processing activities on behalf of third parties and your choices regarding use, access, and correction of your personal information.
Who We Are
Birdseye is one of the leading providers of remote monitoring and operations management solutions in North America.
Our Maximum Telepresence Approach™ combines intelligent use of technology with professionally trained remote agents to detect and deter potential theft, vandalism, accidents, or other incidents for our clients.
How Our Solution Works
Birdseye is a software/hardware solution that utilizes existing or newly installed security cameras and IT assets, ensuring no Birdseye code is installed in the customer network. Instead, both new and existing systems are transferred to Birdseye’s network where the Birdseye platform combines intelligent use of technology with professionally trained remote agents to detect and deter potential theft, vandalism, accidents, or other incidents for our clients.
All communication occurs through pre-existing and approved software channels. Birdseye communicates with the installed security cameras using the highest level of security supported by each platform, including provider-specific authentication, as well as encrypted Virtual Private Networks (VPN). In all cases, Birdseye uses unique authentication for each customer.
The Birdseye platform stores no video or images unless an object of interest is detected. All other video received by the system is processed but not stored. When an object of interest is identified, images are stored to support sending high-quality alerts. Importantly, Birdseye does not perform facial recognition or any other type of analysis of humans present in a video feed.
Birdseye uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host its AI engine. These platforms are trusted by global organizations in the industry and market best-in-class cybersecurity processes and teams.
NOTE: PRIVACY LAWS IN YOUR STATE MAY IMPOSE CERTAIN OBLIGATIONS ON YOU AND YOUR USE OF SECURITY CAMERA OR OTHER CAMERA-ENABLED PRODUCTS.
